About

head-shot november

I’m a husband, dad, serious coffee drinker, and inspirational blogger with a passion to help others see Jesus as He truly is – a personal and relational God.

I write about faith, marriage, culture, and family. I’m a Huffington Post Blogger and a regular contributor for The Blaze. My writing has also been featured in various other publications such as Relevant Magazine, Charisma News, and ChurchLeaders.com

Jesus cares about everyday, ordinary people and that’s who I write for – because that’s who I am.

My goal isn’t to lecture you, but to simply share my experiences and inspire you to always choose relationship over religion.

Where My Inspiration To Write Comes From…

I grew up in church knowing the hymns, knowing the Bible stories, knowing the prayers, but I struggled for so long with relationally connecting with Jesus. It was hard for me to say that my relationship to God was in fact, a relationship.

The greatest moment of my life occurred when my eyes were opened and I realized that Jesus wanted all of my guilt, all of my sin, and all of my shame. I realized that Jesus wanted my heart and not just my behavior. He wanted to be my Father and not just a list of rules and regulations.

Because of my story, I have a personal burden for those who feel stuck in religion and have a hard time relating to Jesus. It’s now my passion to help others connect with Jesus relationally and personally.
